The APS Alpha Fund
is Singapore’s first unit trust for which investors do not pay management fee and expenses. Unlike
most investments in the market, the APS Alpha Fund does not charge
any fees or expenses unless it performs.
So what’s the catch? The catch is that the fund manager has
to beat a return target of 6% p.a. every year before it can get
a share of the profit. If it’s 6% or less, the
fund manager gets nothing.
The APS Alpha Fund invests in the stocks of companies in the Far
East ex-Japan markets. APS Asset Management believes in this fund
so much, it has invested S$10 million of its own money.
